About OSJ Ashmolean Voices

OSJ Ashmolean Voices were founded by Conductor John Lubbock in 2011. The choir is Oxford-based, and is made up of professional singers and a diverse mix of talented amateurs including academics, doctors, psychologists, teachers, accountants, priests, and of course some full time students! OSJ prides itself on being an ‘ego-free zone’, and the singers for OSJ Ashmolean Voices are selected not only for vocal ability but also for musical sensitivity, intelligence and blend. Rehearsals and performances are a lot of fun.

Ashmolean Voices perform at venues and festivals all over the country, but are particularly excited to perform for the first time at Fawley Court. They present a series of Prom Concerts each year in the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford and their own music festival “Music in the Abbey” at Dorchester on Thames, now in its sixteenth year, plus concerts at the new venue SJE Arts in Oxford. They have become an impressive choral force since they began over 6 years ago.

Whilst the ensemble love to perform, they also pride themselves on the work they do in the community. They believe that the music they perform should be enjoyed by people from all walks of life and get involved in a range of charity projects involving the young, elderly and disadvantaged. We are delighted that on this occasion OSJ have chosen to support Clear Sky.

About Fawley Court

Fawley Court is a quintessentially British stately home on the west bank of the River near Henley-on-Thames. It was designed by the great Sir Christopher Wren and landscaped by Capability Brown. It features a thoroughly modern 300 seat concert hall and will no doubt be a splendid venue for some seasonal jollity!

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the OSJ Ashmolean Voices for their support and hope as many of you as possible will join us for the concert on 10th December.
